Hire terms
The terms every Climbable hire runs on, in plain words. These apply to each hire request you send from the catalogue and to the confirmation we send back.
1. The hire block
- Hires run by the week, Monday to Sunday, from the start of your start week to the end of your end week.
- The minimum hire is two months. After that you can extend month by month by emailing us before your end week.
- We deliver early in your start week and collect late in your end week. The exact days are agreed with you by email once the request is confirmed.
- A seven-day grace window after the end week costs nothing, so a reset that runs long is not penalised.
2. Condition and cleaning
- Every set is washed, inspected and photographed before delivery. A condition report travels with the set in both directions and is shared with you.
- All bolts are included and travel with the set in reusable crates. Please return crates and bolts with the holds.
3. Fair wear and damage
- Fair wear costs you nothing: chalk, rubber marks, texture polish and minor surface scratches are the normal life of a hold.
- Breakage (chips, cracks, snapped holds, lost holds) is charged per hold at the replacement cost less a 25% used-stock allowance.
- Your total damage liability is capped at half the set's replacement cost per hire, and the first damaged hold of every hire is waived.
- Holds must be used as climbing holds on climbing walls, fixed with the supplied bolts to the maker's torque guidance. Modifying, cutting, painting or drilling a hold counts as damage.
4. Availability and changes
- A request from the catalogue is a request, not a booking. A hire is confirmed when we email you the confirmation with the weeks and the delivery quote.
- Landing dates for new stock are estimates until the shipment clears customs. If a set you have requested lands late, we will offer you the nearest available weeks or a different set, or release you from the request with nothing owed.
- You can cancel a confirmed hire at no charge up to fourteen days before your start week. Inside fourteen days the first month's hire is payable.
5. Accounts
- Hire requests are sent from a gym account. The account holder is responsible for requests made from it and for keeping the delivery details current.
- How account details are stored is described on the privacy page.
6. The rest
- The holds stay the property of CLIMBABLE PTY LTD throughout the hire.
- These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. Nothing in them limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
- We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time we confirm your hire is the one that applies to it.
