What Climbable collects about you, why, where it is kept, and how to have it changed or removed.
What we collect
- Gym accounts. When you create an account we ask for your gym's name, your name, an email address, a password, and optionally a phone number and delivery postcode.
- Hire requests. Each request records the sets, the weeks, the totals, your delivery postcode and any notes you add, against your account.
- Stock updates. If you sign up for stock updates we keep your email address and, if you give it, your gym's name.
- Email. Anything you send to danny@climbable.com.au stays in that mailbox as ordinary business correspondence.
We do not collect payment card details on this site. The site uses no advertising or analytics trackers. Your browser stores a few small preferences locally (your theme, your current selection, whether you have seen the stock-updates pop-up); those never leave your device.
Why we collect it
- To confirm hires, quote delivery, invoice you and arrange collection.
- To hold dates against your gym on the availability calendar.
- To email you about new stock and availability, only if you asked for that.
We do not sell or share your details with anyone else, and we do not use them for any purpose other than the hire service and the updates you asked for.
Where it is kept
Accounts, hire requests and stock-update sign-ups are stored with Supabase, a hosted database service, protected by their access controls and by ours: each gym can read only its own records. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and cannot be read by us. Email correspondence is held with our mail provider. Some of these services keep data outside Australia.
How long we keep it
Account and hire records are kept while your account is open and for seven years after the last hire, which is what Australian tax record-keeping requires. Stock-update addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
- Every stock-update email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed.
- You can see and correct your account details from the account window on the catalogue page.
- Email danny@climbable.com.au to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have your account and its data deleted. We answer within thirty days.
